CLEAN-GREEN-ENERGY

The natural heat stored within the earth's core produces magma. The presence of magma at depths sufficiently shallow to heat the rock directly above it, along with the presence of water trapped under the earth's surface, creates reservoirs of superheated fluid "Geothermal Reservoirs"
Wells are drilled to access the superheated steam or fluid and brought to the surface where turbines (usually flash steam or binary cycle) are used to convert the steam or fluid released from earth's interior into electricity. The fluid is then cooled and re-injected back into the earth, forming a fully renewable and sustainable system.
Geothermal plants;

do not burn fossil fuel or produce smoke, only water vapour
they generate their own power = no fossil fuel costs
are BASELOAD 24/7 usually operating at +90% capacity versus ~30% for wind, ~25% solar and ~50% run-of-river hydro
are a clean alternative to carbon intensive plants and can operate successfully in sensitive environments with minimal impact.
