Magma Energy Corp's management team comprises an exceptional seasoned team of professionals with decades of experience in geothermal and mineral resource exploration, development, financing and operations. The senior team is as follows:

Ross Beaty, Chairman and CEO

Ross J. Beaty is a geologist and resource company entrepreneur with more than 37 years of experience in the international minerals industry. In early 2008, Mr. Beaty founded Magma Energy Corp. to focus on international geothermal energy development. Magma currently owns the Soda Lake geothermal plant in Nevada and interests in two large geothermal plants in Iceland, as well as 31 other geothermal properties in the USA, Iceland, Nicaragua, Chile, Peru and Argentina. Mr. Beaty also founded and currently serves as Chairman of Pan American Silver Corp., one of the world's leading silver producers. Mr. Beaty has founded and divested a number of other public mineral resource companies since 1985.

Mr. Beaty is a Director of The Nature Trust of B.C. and patron of the Beaty Biodiversity Center at the University of B.C. Mr. Beaty is a past President of the Silver Institute in Washington, DC., a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining, and a recipient of the Institute's Past President's Memorial Medal. In 2007 Mr. Beaty received the Association of Mineral Exploration of B.C.'s Colin Spence Award for excellence in global mineral exploration, in 2008 the Mining Person of the Year award from the Mining Association of B.C. and the 2008 Natural Resources & Energy Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young.

Mr. Beaty was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1951 and educated at the Royal School of Mines, University of London, England, M.Sc., Distinction (Mineral Exploration) 1975 and the University of British Columbia, LL.B. (Law) 1979 and B.Sc. (Honours Geology) 1974. He is married with five children. Mr. Beaty speaks English, French, and Spanish, as well as some Russian, German, and Italian. He has worked in more than 50 countries during his career.

Lyle Braaten, Secretary and General Counsel

Mr. Braaten received a law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary in 1986. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Braaten practiced law in Vancouver for 17 years. Most recently, he was a partner and the Managing Director of a boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver. He has extensive experience in the negotiation of commercial agreements and in the implementation of large infrastructure projects. Mr. Braaten is a member of the Law Societies of British Columbia and the Yukon.

Sandra Lim, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Lim is a Certified General Accountant with over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance for both public and private companies. Until August 2008, Ms. Lim was the Chief Financial Officer of Global Copper Corp and until January 2008, Ms. Lim was the Chief Financial Officer of Northern Peru Copper Corp. Until 2006, she also served as Chief Financial Officer of Regalito Copper Corp. and Lumina Resources Corp. All of these companies are engaged in the exploration of copper projects in South America and Canada. From 1988 to 2005, Ms. Lim was engaged in public practice providing accounting, auditing, taxation and financial advisory services to both private and public companies in a range of industries.

Dr. Catherine Hickson, VP Exploration & Chief Geologist

Dr. Hickson is a world renowned volcanologist with over 26 years of Canadian and international geoscience experience, primarily with Natural Resources Canada. After gaining her Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia she began her career under Canada's Geothermal Program in 1981. She has published dozens of papers in volcanic geology globally and has led large multidisciplinary geoscience programs in Canada and South America. She has been a member of the Canadian Geothermal Association since 1984. Dr. Hickson will head all of Magma's international exploration activities

Alison Thompson, MBA, MEng, VP Corporate Relations

Ms. Thompson is a Chemical Engineer with dual Master's degrees in business administration and engineering with 15 years of experience in project management, business and technology development in the energy sector. Ms. Thompson has served on the Board of Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada and Borealis GeoPower. She is an external evaluator for the British Columbia Innovation Council's Innovative Clean Energy Fund. Internationally, she has a seat on the Executive Committee of the International Energy Agency's Geothermal Implementing Agreement and is currently Chair and Executive Director of the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association (CanGEA).

Andrea Zaradic, VP Operations & Development

Ms. Zaradic is a professional mechanical engineer with 20 years experience in engineering design, construction, commissioning and operations with large international mining projects. She was also a leading member of the fuel cell development team at Ballard Power. Her Master's degree in mechanical engineering focused on renewable energy exploitation. Ms. Zaradic will lead all of Magma's geothermal development projects, including the current expansion program at Soda Lake and the large development programs planned at HS Orka's projects in Iceland.

Dick Benoit, Exploration Manager - Magma Energy US

Mr. Benoit has 35 years of experience in the geothermal industry both nationally and internationally. He has specific expertise in all aspects of exploration, field development, production and injection operations, and resource management. Mr. Benoit is Past President of the Geothermal Resources Council and has been a Director for 10 years. He is also recipient of their Special Achievement Award as well as recipient of the council's "Pioneer Award" in 2008.

Richard Hoops, Environmental & Regulatory Affairs Manager - Magma Energy US

Mr. Hoops has had an illustrious career in geothermal resource management as part of his 35 year career with several agencies within the US Department of Interior. He headed the National Geothermal Program policy development in 1988 and 1998 and is the singular expert on U.S. geothermal leasing and resource management.

Asgeir Margeirsson, President & CEO - Magma Energy ICELAND

Ásgeir Margeirsson, holds a Lic. Techn. degree in Construction Management from The Technical University in Lund, Sweden and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iceland in Reykjavik. His previous positions include CEO of Geysir Green Energy, COO and Deputy CEO of Reykjavik Energy and Technical Director of Iceland Drilling Co. He is currently the President of the Geothermal Association of Iceland and has served on the boards of several geothermal companies on three different continents. Mr. Margeirsson has been involved in geothermal exploration and development in various countries for over 15 years.

Monte C. Morrison, VP Operations - Magma Energy US

Mr. Morrison is a Registered Professional Engineer, (Chemical, Nevada) with 24 years experience in all aspects of geothermal power plant management of operations, maintenance, HR, environmental and safety. He has managed multiple geothermal plants in Nevada, California and Hawaii. His chemical engineering degree was received from the University of Nevada, Reno and he has held an Emergency Medical Technician certificate for over 20 years. Mr. Morrison will manage Magma's domestic and international power plant operations and maintenance and support both development and acquisition activities in the US and abroad.

John Selters, Country Manager - Magma CHILE

John Selters is a mining engineering graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and has resided in Chile managing resource development projects for more than 20 years. He has worked with Ross Beaty as Country Manager for the Lumina Copper Group from 2003 - 2008.
